Sugar skulls are a popular theme in Mexican folk art, especially during the Day of the Dead (Día de Los Muertos) celebrations. They are decorated skull-shaped candies or sculptures made of sugar, traditionally decorated with bright colors and patterns.
Our “Sugar Skulls” characters wear brightly colored clothing, painting their faces to resemble the decorated skulls or wearing a full-face mask for a spookier look. Their whimsical and mysterious attitude is playful, yet enigmatic. They look at the world in a non-traditional or unconventional way, creating an aura of intrigue and allure, leaving others curious and captivated.

With their slow, shuffling gait, vacant gaze, and open mouth with moans and groans they appear to be mindless, driven only by their insatiable hunger for their next victim. Don't be surprised if you see them stumbling, exhibiting no emotion, with their movements being robotic and repetitive. The goal is to create a frightening and convincing portrayal of a reanimated corps!
